Thank you Ashley and Mom for letting me shoot such a gorgeous girl! Look at that hair and eyes! Ashley's mom completely surprised me by calling up to ask if I could do her senior shoot when we had first moved to Boise. They loved the image I had done of April and Brooke and wanted that 'music album cover' look for Ashley and Tessa's senior photos. Tessa is Ashley's stepsister and you can see her shoot here. I was a little nervous when Ashley wanted some shots taken in the foothills, as I had never shot in the foothills and wondered how they could turn out 'pretty'. I'm now a believer….I want to do some more in the foothills! AND, we had a great time riding my Razor (4 wheeler) behind my property to get to some of these places. Thanks again, Ashley! Best of luck in your endeavors, and happy traveling after graduation… dot forget to take lots of pictures!!
Thank you Tessa for for a great evening. As I've said a hundred times, the camera loves this girl! Congratulations on your senior year and upcoming graduation! Thank you to Chantelle Hyland for Tessa's gorgeous hair and makeup! www.lynngormleyphotography.com
Wow, just so excited about this shoot with Lexi! She was open to anything and I LOVED how she wanted to incorporate who she is, what she does, and what she loves into her photoshoot! She was open to try whatever was new and fun, which of course made it totally fun for me! Thank you to Shantell, a fabulous hair and makeup artist I am collaborating with. If you are interested in having a gorgeous shoot with professional hair and makeup, lots of locations, professional lighting and posing, please give me a call and we can discuss if I'm the right photographer for your photo session.

So hard to believe this beautiful woman was a beautiful little girl not so long ago and now it's her turn to be a mom and love the little one who will be looking up to her...
I have yet to write about my wonderful experience shooting this amazing woman. You'll want to read and learn more about her and her journey. I know I have really loved most of my clients, but this experience of getting to know Stephanie and her story goes way beyond any shoot I could have imagined. I am so glad we decided to hire a videographer to document this beautiful day. Thank you for the beautiful work, Hannah, of Hannah Elizabeth Imagery.
This is what Stephanie sent me, explaining what she's battling:
"I wanted to provide some background information on the type of cancer I have and correct my timeline. I was diagnosed 18 months ago and when I was diagnosed I was told I would have 9 to 18 months. That is a best guess from doctors as each person is different. My cancer is Glioblastoma Stage IV.
Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), "glioblastoma", is the most common and most aggressive malignant primary brain tumor in humans, involving glial cellsand accounting for 52% of all functional tissue brain tumor cases and 20% of all intracranial tumors. GBM is rare, with incidence of 2–3 cases per 100,000 in Europe and North America.
Treatment can involve chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. Median survival with standard-of-care radiation and chemotherapy with temozolomide is 15 months. Median survival without treatment is 4½ months."
So, what does a person do when they get news like this? Stephanie would love to be able to share her story and reach as many people aspossible, getting the word out and encouragement of the much needed support and awareness that goes with news most of us can barely imagine. For me, that involved doing a totally fun and fabulous photo shoot. Meghan Cozine at the MAC store at the Boise Mall wanted to make Stephanie look and feel gorgeous and confident for her shoot and donated all her time and materials, even assisting during the entire shoot. Meghan, you were a wonderful godsend and so awesome to work with! Monica at Dresstravaganza at the Boise Outlet Mall offered to let Stephanie use their wardrobe pieces and have fun with them! My sweet friend Gretchen LaPointe, who manages the horse stables and gives riding lessons near Hidden Springs offered to share the studly Arabian Navarre to join Steph in some of her shoot. I knew this would be a great opportunity to get some video footage, so I asked Steph what she thought. She loved the idea and so we went ahead and hired on Hannah to join in the fun. She has also interviewed Stephanie and so there is a hope that footage will be added to the following video.
Thank you everyone who offered your generosity and support to help us put this together!
And for the rest of you, would you like to hear more? Please comment below to show and share the love and support for Stephanie and let's start a wave of promoting awareness for ALL battling any cancers!!
So this is very different for me and I'm so excited I got to do Lauren's senior pictures! First off….HER HAIR!! Love love it!! And so flattered she drove from Colorado and trapsed with me around Boise to have me do this senior shoot. And of course she is gorgeous. Lauren wanted a vintage themed senior shoot and also some grunge style senior shots. We lucked out and found the perfect location with some amazing graffiti. And I got to use my flash with night time shooting. Loved everything about this senior shoot. Thank you Lauren! Still many more to work on and post!
